The University of Chicago Charter School provides students with a comprehensive college preparatory pathway, serving students from grades prekindergarten through twelth grades over four South Side campuses. Currently, we are seeking substitutes for our Woodlawn Secondary School, serving grades 6 through 12. The University of Chicago Charter School offers students and families A college prep curriculum that begins in preschool A tuition-free public school with a longer school day A technology-rich learning environment Tutoring and other supports to ensure every child’s success Special programs that involve families in their children’s education Partnerships with community organizations to enrich the curriculum Professional-development programs for teachers and instructional leaders
We are seeking dedicated, experienced substitutes for day-to-day assignments Individuals must be flexible (able to respond to last minute teacher “sick day” calls) and should have a Bachelor’s degree, valid teaching or substitute teaching certification. High School and Middle School teaching/subbing experience is required. Background checks are required.
We will follow-up with qualified candidates and will add selected candidates to our Woodlawn Campus substitute list.
