At the middle school and high school levels, we welcome applications from teachers who can provide a rigorous balanced literacy approach to English/language arts and effective inquiry-based instruction in mathematics, the sciences, the social sciences, world languages, the performing arts, and physical education/wellness education.  At the K-5th levels, we value teachers with content area expertise, knowledge and experience in using balanced literacy frameworks and Everyday Mathematics. A well qualified literacy teacher will have knowledge and experience in using the balanced literacy framework.  A well qualified math teacher will have extensive knowledge of the Common Core State Standards and the Standards for Mathematical Practices to deliver targeted small group instruction. At all levels, we seek teachers with expertise and commitment to teaching students with exceptional needs, both in resource and inclusion settings.

Qualified applicants are licensed teachers with a bachelor's degree and rigorous clinical preparation for teaching urban students and/or experience working in urban context. They believe in the unlimited potential of urban children and youth to learn deeply and achieve at high levels, regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic class.
